Music Workshops, Music Therapy?

From public rehearsals with a full band to solo sessions in geriatric hospitals in Skopje, and from daycare centres for people with special needs to clubs and arenas, Luka’s music workshops have evolved significantly over the years. What began as performing carefully curated music for elders in terminal care has developed into spontaneous choir arrangements in daycare settings, and later into full-scale workshops with youth and vulnerable groups across the region.

-Since I was around 12 or 13, I discovered the origins of what would later grow into my deep fascination and aspiration for psychology. My unmodeled child’s mind found fertile ground to explore, driving me to consistently dig deeper into the outskirts of the science and, almost unconsciously, become a source of psychological support and an amateur analyst of my immediate surroundings, a path that naturally led me to pursue my bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Returning to my home country after securing one of only three student slots for the psychology bachelor at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg felt both daunting and necessary. I hoped, and later confirmed through my work, I hoped-and eventually confirmed my own speculations—that I could contribute far more to the development of my own country’s communities, the ones I felt compelled to engage with, rather than by devoting my

youthful energy solely to personal ambition or settling for a higher standard of living abroad.

The socio-psychological impact of my childhood and adolescence profoundly shaped my character. Growing up in a vibrant, artsy family, surrounded by the highs and lows of my hometown and the socio-economic struggles of a country in transition, offered an exciting yet challenging coming-of-age. These experiences guided my academic interests and, more importantly, set my moral compass, shaping me to choose a side in the battles of this world: the hopeful, open, critical, protective, motivating, and caring side.
